Well, all the tins are off and getting ready to send to the painter. Going suedo old school with a metallic green and pearl white 2 tone separated by a thin silver leaf stripe.

Also ordered Carlini gangsters in 1.5" size. Spoke with Rex at Carlini and he recommended these due to how "beefy" the Roadking front end is. Hoping they aren't too tall as NH has a not over the shoulder law.

gja: When I had Carlini's I too had 1.5". You're going to love how beefy they are. Most bikes have the 1.25", and the extra quarter inch really stands out nicely. In fact my BR bars are 1.5" as well.

Did you go with blems?

Gipper, I did end up with the blems. Bit the bullet on the 1.5" as there were no 1.25" blems with the step down available. Like I said, just hope they aren't too tall.

Good morning all! Got the cvo bags and rear fender in and finally opened the boxes. Fender and bags look great on the exterior, however ( ahhh yes the dreaded however) the previous owner must have had bag liners installed. There are bit and pieces of glue, fabric and foam everywhere inside the bags. Any suggestion on getting this stuff out? Was thinking sanding as much as possible, then trying Goo Gone to get the glue residue off. I'm not sure if Goo Gone would do anything to the ABS plastic or not. Thoughts?

You could try a Whizzy Wheel maybe...chucks into your drill and works well on decals and adhesive, it should strip that stuff right out. As long as you don't set in one spot with it, it probably wouldn't hurt the ABS. I use them a lot on jet skis when stripping them clean for new paint jobs, but I haven't used them on ABS before...

Looking good so far. Your plan is coming together quite nicely. You'll be riding it soon. Enjoy and keep the pictures coming.
