Default Looking at '14 ultra limited

Looking at '14 ultra limited with 5300 miles at my local dealer. They sold it new and have serviced it albeit limited with the low mileage. Guy supposedly trades every few yrs. With that bike being the first yr of the new style and cooling system did they get all the bugs worked out or is this a yr I should stay away from?

I've got a 2014 with 26,000 miles on it and never had an issue.

If it's had the recalls done, should be good.

Any issues would already be in the rear view mirror.

My 14 limited had water pump go out, somewhere in the 20,000"s mi.. i forget exactly. It was out of warranty, but HD fixed it cuz of known problem. Only thing i can think of, I'm at approximately 32,000 mi. now and all is good

Is it possible to talk to the previous owner? The dealer shouldn't give you the name but maybe they could call that person and have them call you?
Ask the Dealer to sell you ESP at cost for peace of mind.

I have a 14 and never had a problem with anything.
Good luck
Bill

I have 85K on my 14 Limited. Only had one issue so far, and that was with 3rd gear junking on me at 80K. ESP covered it, so no big deal. Still rides and runs like new. Darn good bike. Go for it. Get ESP though.

Don't have anywhere near 85K on mine, but I got it new, it had a few recalls- Saddlebags, Clutch master cylinder seal, brake line routing. Has not needed any repairs at all, absolutely no regrets.

Got my 14 Ultra limited used as well. Get the extended warranty for peace of mind I don't think you'll be disappointed with the bike

Thanks for the replies. Read a couple posts talking about problems with them but they were written back in 13 when the 14s were just out. Glad to hear they've been proven and bugs worked out.
