Conversion Chart for Harley Bulbs ?
Maybe someone has already researched this. The service manual shows my Ultra takes bulb # 68168-89a for both front and rear turn signals. I have read some old posts where you can purchase these at an auto parts store and 1156 bulbs go in rear and 1157 bulbs go in front. I'm wondering which one of those numbers is the equivalent to the stock Harley number ? I also see where the stock number for the front fender tip is 68193-95. I'm wondering if that can be purchased at an auto parts store under a different part number ? Thanks !

While it probably is an 1157 bulb, it does have an additional filament support piece. This could make it last longer against vibration.
There are other bulbs with the exact same base, but different filament configurations. Here's a chart. While going brighter certainly seems like a good idea, don't neglect expected life of the bulb.

Since it's not surviving posting (format looks fine in preview), here's a link to a thread with the charts for the single (1156) and dual (1157) bulb charts from sylvania.
