Should Harley produce a Grand Touring Bike
I know that Harley makes some of the finest Touring bikes in the world, however I was wondering if there is a market for them to kick it up a notch and produce a Grand Touring Model.
This would be a larger and longer chassis bike, with perhaps more than two cylinders for more and smoother power, more space for riders, additional luggage capacity, larger fuel tank, better lighting, and tuned for putting on even more mileage and in greater comfort.
Does anyone else think there would be buyers for such a bike?

Not unless it came stock with those automatically-lowering training wheels for when you stop, because I'm guessing it's gonna weigh the same as a trike.
Aren't you just describing any Touring model after you finish "making it your own"?
Since a CVO is $40,000 and it doesn't include any of those things, (except, maybe, better lighting) what would it cost?!?

Well, let's take a look:
Nope, same chassis as all HD Touring models.
Nope, same two cylinders as all HD Touring models.
Nope, same space as all HD Touring models with the Tour Pack.
Nope, same hard bags and Tour Pack as all HD Touring models with the Tour Pack.
Nope, same fuel tank as all HD Touring models.
Nope, better than "standard" Touring models, but same LED lighting as all current Special, Ultra and CVO HD Touring Models.
Nope, same 100% EPA/CARB compliant tune as all HD Touring models.
There are zero current HD Touring models that meet the OP's list of features.

I'm guessing since I pulled some of the bells and whistles off my old Ultra, I sure wouldn't be interested. Any new Harley would probably still need suspension work and a better seat to be really comfortable. My ultimate Harley would be... a frame I could build up with aftermarket parts. Well, and tins, I don't have a problem with those. Don't get me wrong, I think a stock Harley is still a fine motorcycle, but for something like you're talking about, I think you'd have to build it to really get that grand touring machine. And 4 cylinders? It would be more like a Harley with a 120 S&S, and that motor would handle it just fine.
I loved those. I'd take an FXRT with an S&S motor and baker 6 speed with upgraded fork guts and shocks over any of the new Harleys. That's the only Harley model on my wish list I don't already have.
