Thinking about pulling the trigger on a road king
Sold my Street Glide last summer after being laid off. Took a new job 6 months ago and ready to get back on a bike. Thinking about a Road King. I like how i could get a fairing and take it on and off. Dealer wants to give me a much better deal on a 2017 but i'm not so sure about the new M8 engines so not sure if ill get a 2017 or a 2016. Question is bars. I'm 6ft 2 and had 13 inch LA chopper bars on my street glide. Always felt I should have went with 14s. What about the road king? I plan on having bars put on it when i buy. Would 16s be too high for a road king?
Also, anyone else go from a SG to a Road King?

I am 6' 3". I have 14" Khromewekes on mine, and extended shifters and brake pedal. But the police seat does put you up higher. I really like it, but based on those bars, could have gone with 16s. Maybe even should have.
Actual height of the bars does vary quite a bit based on brand.
Note: my sigpic is old, before I swapped bars.

I've read where people use a broomstick and hold it where they think it's most comfortable. I'm going one step further and building a jig out of 1*1 stock in the shape of a I. Put the base on the risers and should be able to hold onto it like regular bars. This will also allow me to tilt jig into different positions, i.e. More upright, more laid back etc.
I know I'm probably over thinking this, but I have plenty of time while I'm waiting for paint to come back.
