Default Curved windshield question

I'm riding a 2016 street glide. I don't like the look of the tall windshields. But was wondering if the curved windshields helped with bugs and rain? Thanks for any knowledge

Try the windshield by Long Ride Shields. The recurve at the top works real well and isn't a distraction if the size is correct

I have ran LRS curved shields on a Streetglide and a Roadglide with
excellent wind buffeting control. On both bikes they I was able to see over
the shield without helmet buffeting.

Highly recommend.

Agree with LRS or similar flip shield but you (usually) get the best bang for your buck with LRS, especially when they run a special, which is often. And feel free to call them as they are very helpful. And yes, they certainly help with especially and yes, bugs as well. If I were not so tired I would take a picture of the bugs already on my shield and not on the visor of my helmet.

Running a SGS, changed the std windshield to an LRS 10" recurved, it looks great with my apes...it completes my bike and the windshield cant be beat for $39 bucks...great value and company.....and that is the best price for any addition to my bike....

My dad switched to a LRS curved windshield on his trike and loves it. 11 inch i think .
The recurve gives an extra 1 1/2 to 2" extra airflow or so, so you can run a shorter shield.

I'm currently struggling to find the perfect windshield for my Limited. I tried/bought a few. The Klockwerks curved preformed well with buffeting, but the distortion was too much. I had to take if off. Made me dizzy looking through it.

F4Customs look like a great windshield and I spoke with them about fitting/making me a recurve shield to fit me. I'm 20mins from their plant, so they offered for me to stop there.

I have a few different heights & styles of LRS shields. At their (sale) prices, one can afford to mix & match. They're really great shields!

I have a Klockwerks Flare 16" on my Road King, with fork air deflectors. I look over it, and only have to look through it for the first 2 or 3 car lengths in front of my bike. It puts the wind on the top of my helmet so I still get good airflow with vents open, but no buffeting.

It works great for bugs. I still get a few that hit the top of my helmet and a rare one on my face shield or glasses. For rain, it keep its off my body, but my head/helmet is getting wet.

yes they work. have a klock werks 8 1/2 inch. ive switched back and fourth between a straight 8 inch and the curved is absolutley better. some folks purchase the curved windshields thinking its gonna block every bit of air off of them. your on a motorcycle. thats not gonna happen but they defintiley work much better than a straight.

I ran a 9 1/2" re-curve on my glide. It was perfect to see over and yet get the wind up over your head. I don't think it did much for the rain beyond what a normal shield did to keep water off of you but it wasn't any worse. Being able to see over it does help in the rain though.
