Default Mustang Solo Seat Install

I recieved my Mustang solo seat for my 07 RKC yesterday. Yes I am a little dense, but I cant figure out how to mount this thing.

Once I remove my stock seat, do I need to also remove the white plastic washers from the rear fender that were under the stock seat?

Obviously I mount the seat to these bolts, but what is the order of the hardware I use. Mustang sent me 4 black washers and 2 chrome spacers.

How do these go on? Instructions say I "may" need an additional install kit??

Please help!

You can use the stock hardware. I bought my seat(s) used, and the stock nuts over the seat over the plastic fender washers worked just fine.

You need solo mounting nuts, part#78032 $8.
http://www.mustangseats.com/roadking97/roadking97.shtml

Leave the white washers on, put a fender bib on them, and use the black washers between the bib and the seat mounting flanges. Slidee flanges down over studs and install mounting nuts w/ 5/8" wrench.

The nuts are slotted also so you can easily slide on a passenger pillion and secure with original single mounting screw.

Ez

I insatlled mine. Leave the white stock plastic washers where they are and buy the 8" bib to cover them..If you do take the white washers off I think the bolts will fall through the fender and it will be a "B:" to get them back through the fender with he tire on.

Does Harley sell a bib? I may stop an buy one today if they do.

Also.....How do I attach the backrest? Mine just seems to sit into the seat. If I lean back on it, it leans back with me.

I am really having an off day today....[sm=huh.gif]

Forget that fugly bib from Mustang. I took the whitewashers off and replaced them with black rubber ones from loves. The bolts won't fall out unless maybe you push down on them.

I have both the mini and regular Mustang bibs on my SG, but am unhappy with the regular bib. They all seem to have a bulge toward the back which looks tacky, and this is my second bib with the same flaw. I just ordered this bib from Timber Wolf Leather, shown on a bike here:

It is shown with a Mustang solo seat similar to mine. I've purchased his products before and they're fine quality.
