Default lot of weight

Anyone carry allot of weight on there ultra classic. I weigh in about 300 pounds, and my wife is probably 300 to 350 pounds(she wont tell me what she weighs), thats 600 to 650 pounds of azz!!!!, i max the tire psi out(Avon roadrunners) and i max the air psi in the shocks out at psi, the bike handles fine. we only bottom out 2 or 3 times on some ruff bridges... I figured out that the max weight of rider and passenger and gear is like around 470 pounds... Someone tell me if I'm on a suicide mission, with this much weight on the bike

Well, if you go by the specs of the UC. GVWR is 1259 - the dry weight of the bike (800)= 459 lbs. out of the 459 you have to include fuel, luggage, the wieght of the passenger(s) etc.
You might be a tad over the GVWR. Stictly HD #s, so guess the choice is yours.

I go 310 and on Tuesday my Second Pressman, he's about 200-210,asked if I could give him a ride to pick his car up from getting inspected. I said sure I'm on the bike though, no problem he said. So i had just aired up the front forksand back shocks couple days before. Tires had 40.5 psi rear, 38 front. Let me tell you that I didn't enjoy that ride one bit. We bottomed out several times and I could really feel that I was over weight on what the bike could handle. Now granted my 99 is different than the newer ones. Frame, axles, brakes.............................

You can set your bike up to handle the weight. Your not the first big couple to fill the saddle area. Along with the shocks that was suggested, look into the weight ratings of your next set of tires. There can be a substantial difference in a brand or profile change. Next would be the front end. Aside from changing the springs you can do a simple fluid weight change. All of these things combined will help up the bikes load rating.
