2500 mile service?
I could have sworn that there was a 2500 mile service in my owner's manualand the dealer's maint. schedule!
So I get home, warm up the bike and do the oil change and then check the manual for the rest of the service points and WHAT? no service at 2500?
That's okay I switched over to synthetic anyway, still had dino in it from the 1k service.
Gotta get me the HD oil filter wrench too.

I'm one of them. I change the oil in between the 5k service at the 2500 marks. Cheap insurance in my book. IMHO.

Thanks, I thought I had lost what was left of my mind. I'm pretty sure that the dealer has a board for services at 1000, 2500, 5000, etc.,
Every 5000 miles seems a bit too long as hard and hot as these engines run.
