just an FYI -- pep boys has their motorcycle jack on sale for $35.00, do not waste your money on this POS (IMHO).

I had one, lifted my bike up one day, the jack got stuck up in the air with my bike on it.

i had to disassemble the jack to get the bike down.

The difference in quality of the Sears red jack and Pep boys is evident

 

Darn, I spent $49 at Pep Boys. So far haven't had any problems.

 

I would not "cheap out" on a jack for a bike I spent thousands on. I know the price was irresistable but for $35 dollars you were asking for it. Just MHO of course. I got the Sears Red which should be around $69 but looking to get the Sears yellow since I have to stand up my scoot to get the red under properly.

Pep boys anything dont do it, there was a bunch in my area about 10 years ago and all but 1 or 2 went out of business. I used to be a tow truck driver and when I towed people off the interstate on a sunday and no one else was open I would take people to pep boys and they would tell the people we'll get you in today. Well of course they didnt and the people were stuck waiing until the next day when everyone else was open,after that I would never recommend them or anything they sell. Just had to throw that out there since someone mentioned them. BTW I dont like liars!!

 

I got my jack from Lowe's....It has a lifetime warranty.

 

The Sears Craftsman Pro jack(the Yellow one) is a much nicer jack in every way then the Sears red one and for only $80 more. Big bucks for the bike and then you skimp $$$ on the jack, doesn't make sense. JMHO

 

i have a red jack that was a gift from my in-laws a couple years ago. had they not bought it for me, i would definitely had gotten one myself- and, while i wouldnt buy a pep boys jack- the only thing i really use mine for is to clean the bike! even then, i only have it jacked up just enough to spin the rear wheel.

(it is almost a necessity now that i have it)

 

I second the Kobalt. I boughtit from Lowes for $89.00. It has a lifetime warranty and it fit's nicely under the Ultra Classic. Jimmy Johnson - 48,recommends it as well.
