Default FLHR GPS Mounts

Looking for some mounting options for a gps for my '15 RK. I'd like to see some pics and model information on what you used and how you have it mounted up.

Thanks in advance......

I don't have a picture but I use a Ram handlebar mount. I ran a USB charging cable from the battery and loop it back into the nacelle by the handlebar riser when I'm not using it..

I have
 a cable a cable
that plugs into my battery tender on one end and is a standard 12V on the other going into a
water resistant case water resistant case
. Stuck at work, but provided links. Yes, kinda ghetto on a new RK, but it's all I had left after picking it up last week.

I use a Techmount for my Garmin as I like the position centered over the bar cover. I also use a waterproof USB power port from 3BR Powersport that plugs into the acc. connector under the seat and use the acc. switch for on/off. I also use it to charge my iPhone.

I used this setup when I had my '11 Street Glide

I know there are several ways members have mounted their GPS, and this is how I mounted my Garmin 1450

First off, a picture of the completed setup. You can also see the Riders Claw mount for my iPod Touch.

Here is what I used.
For power, I just used the standard cigarette lighter outlet.
But I didn't use the standard auto power adapter, due to fuel tank interference.
The setup I used will NOT hit the fuel tank. Full lock left to full lock right, no interference.

Cigarette Lighter to USB adapter
Amazon.com: Griffin PowerJolt Dual Universal Micro: MP3 Players & Accessories Amazon.com: Griffin PowerJolt Dual Universal Micro: MP3 Players & Accessories

This adapter mounts flush with the fairing surface.

Then I used a USB power cable. Some say you can use the USB cable that comes with the Garmin. But that is really intended as a "data" cable and when I plugged it in, I never could get it to power up the GPS.
So, I purchased one here:
USB Charging Cable
3BR Powersports
Click the link, then scroll down to the USB Power Cables

For the handle bar mount, I used this:
GPS Mount
Motomount
http://www.motomount.net/products/ga...uvi-gps-mount/

For stock bars, use 1"

Then I mounted the GPS with these RAM Mount products

gpscity.com
http://www.gpscity.com/

RAM Mount Diamond Plate with 1 inch Ball RAM-B-238U
Model: RAM-B-238U SKU:RAMB238

For the Garmin 1400 series (Buy the one that fits your GPS Model)
RAM Mount Garmin nuvi 1490T Cradle RAM-HOL-GA35U
Model: RAM-HOL-GA35U SKU:RAMHOLGA35

RAM Mount Short Arm B-Socket RAM-B-201U-A
Model: RAM-B-201U-A SKU:RAMB201A

A few other setups others are using in this thread: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...gps-mount.html

Like the set up - and may move forward with it but I do t like how the Tapp connector is so exposed - is there a better routing method to hide it or is that it?

The mount and the position is great

I used the same ball mount before I started using a Zumo and worked fine. Guess I still have it somewhere. Quoted your post as between the GPS and phone, along with the gauges on the fairing, looks kind of like a fighter jet.

I would add that when I got the ball mount the company I ordered it from sent a sticky back tether which adhered to the back of the GPS just in case it became dislodged (which it never did).
