Well, next week I head off for my long planned vacation to Hawaii. Im burning up all my frequent flyer miles in one shot and found ahotel/car/parking for $120/night so thats not too bad for over there. Im doing a HOG Fly and Ride that first weekend there (cant afford to have a bike the whole time) and reserveda Road King, mainly to just compare it to my FLHT. Looking forward to visiting my old haunts there. I remember well there are no long rides on Oahu but lots of great bike stops like the Sugar Bar in Waialua, Creekside in Kailua and Anna Bananas (when I left Hawaii in 96 my buddies rode their scoots thru the bar in my honor!)Looking forward to seeing my old riding bros Andy and Steve and the rest. Anyway, just wanted to document itin case I decide to go awol and stay!

 

Just got back from there 2 weeks ago. Weather is perfect! Watch out for jellyfish though.

 

Leonards for the Malasadas and Boots and Kimos for the Pancakesin Kailua. Both well known local favorites. Believe me, you won't be sorry!

 

My wife and I went to Maui a couple of years ago and for one of our excursions, we rented a Road King Classic to tour the island. It was also one of the best excursions.
