I am sitting my A$$ in Iraq and I am dying to really get a good idea of this black pearl. I bought my 07 SG from the Overseas Military sales people and all they have for color samples are small squares of paint. I have looked at a lot of pictures of Black Pearl Glides and they all look a little different. I would love to see some up close pics of the paint or some really good pics of Black Pearl Glides.

yup, kinda of a metallic charcoal grey... i think its a nice color, but it doesn't look black at all...

 

Black Pearl, in the shadows, or garage, is a deep gray color. In the sunlight, the pearl in the paint makes the color change constantly from purplish, greenish, bluish. Note the streak of color across the saddlebag. The one thing it never is, is black. Looking down at the top of the tank in the sunlight, everything is sparkles of different color.

It's an awsome color that just keeps growing on you. Dull dark grey in the shade and the most metal flake paint job you could imaging when the sun hits it.

Was my first choice but the wife wanted two tone on an the Ultra. Thought the bike was too big to carry only one color.

 

Awsome color in sunlight, you'll love it.

 

Yep, Gunmetal grey in the shadows, black looking at night, and wow, does it pop in the sunlight! I was at the tire dealer by my house last weekend and the motorcycle tire expert came out to evaluate the tire life on my Metzlers and he thought I had a custom paint job, he said he had never seen a color like that before, he liked it a lot. It was a sunny day. You won't be disappointed in the color.
Pictures don't do the color justice but here is the best one I have.

Seeing it on the dealer floor does not do it justice either, you have to see it outside in the sun.

 

I am so friggin anxious....I got 12 days and a wake up and I'll be back home for 2 weeks. I pick the new Glide up on 20 August. I guess I am just a little nervous becuase I havent seen a SG in person with the Black Pearl Paint job. My first choice was Vivid black (cause its faster) but they didnt have a black one left in their stock so Black pearl it is.........Already got the dealer installing the engine guard foglamps, SE slip ons, and a couple other items before I even pick her up......DANGIT I cant wait!!!
