I finally remembered to check it the other night. Had to lightly apply pressure to lever to feel it move. It only moved when accelerating hard then chopping the throttle in 4th (and I would assume 2nd and 3rd but didn't test them). Nothing at all in 5h or 6th (no surprise there).

This is week 7 and it just rolled out of the shop into the
showroom yesterday while I was at the dealer having a
warranty replacement seat put on my new Ultra! [:@][:'(][&o]

 

I can't say if crank problems will be common on 07s but they changed crank bearings in the 08 models for some reason.

 

I've been a motorcycle tech (Japanese bikes) all my life
over 40 years, I factory road raced as well and was an
R&D rider because I have a great feel for what any
motorcycle I'm riding is doing (right or wrong) just so
you know a bit of my back round.
