Just trying to get an idea of how many miles to expect my wife to last per day. My only previous long trip was a solo to Sturgis, averaging about 600 miles per day. While I don't expect her to put up with that many, I am curious about member's mileage with the wife/girlfriend on the back.

 

When the wife goes with me, I normally figure no more than 500 a day.

 

It really depends on her and how comfy you've made her "perch".

My wife can go 600 mile days (on trips) and has actually ridden with mo on two separate IronButt's ~ 1k in 24hrs. But (no pun) in fairness, she has ridden close to 100k miles with me so she knows what to expect....

What I can say for sure is that she'll let ya know when "it's time".

 

Stock seat on my RG the wife starts squirmin at 100 miles. I gotta get a new seat.

 

GF can handle 250 - 300 before she needs several "stops"

My wife has a 300 mile butt. We ride up to Michigan, 335 miles, at 300 she really starts squirming.

 

That really depends on your wife doesn't it?
Most lady's can go 400 miles as long as you stop every 100 miles for a break. If she is tougher than most then 600 miles will work. My wife and I stop every 170 miles for water and gas. She will be tested in Sept. on the "Trail of Tears"

 

In answer to the original question........you will be the first to know! Let us know the results. OK, my wifes good for about 450 miles,with stops every houror so.

That depends on your wife. If she's not happy, you'll know it. Mine starts her squirming at about 200 miles, but she'shasn't ridden that that much.
