Default New Willi G Fuel Door Install Issue - screws to big?

Bought a new Willi G Black fuel door for my 2024 Ultra Limited. Install was going well until I got to the part where I put the 2 small screws back in that attach the new fuel door to the existing hinge. The screws seem to be to big for the holes in the new door. Is it possible I got a defective door or maybe the holes are meant to be small and the screws are self tapping? I stopped since I didn't want to force the screws and damage the screws or door. Any thoughts?

How do the holes on the 2 doors compare? Pictures of both doors would help.

Screws are thread forming (self tapping).

Thanks! Since they are thread forming, that's likely why they appear to be too tight. I will proceed.

when i replaced mine, i found it to be easier to run the screws in the first time with the fuel door off the bike.
