I decided to go for it and cut off my left pipe. Yeah it is lop sided but you get used to the look. Sounds great with just the stock can punched out. Really cleans up the left side and you really can't tell less you look closely that's been cut. Less weight too!

Hope that is a "gold" reflection on your pipes and not discoloration???

Very nice work ! What did you use to weld the hole up with ? Can you see the welds?

Not my cup of tea, I really like the whole dual exhaust thing. I sure do appreciate the fact that you did it yourself and as long as you are happy that is all that matters!

 

Thanks, no the pipes are not gold. I have a yellow bug light in my garage that makes it look that way. I had a buddy weld it but it can be seen a touch if you really look. My plan is to get another set of pipes but thought I would try this till I get some more cash! I am thinking of a thunder header or some downsweeps of a softail so I better get used to the look now : ) It sounds good and it doesn't seem like it pops near as much. I don't have a tuner so I am limited.

 

You can take off the Y Pipe and weld in a Plug right were it connects to the Left hand Pipe, once weldedyou can then reconnect your left side Pipe (2 into 1 with a left side false pipe) it works i have done it
