Someone on here posted about removing the front fender of a SG without first removing the front wheel. Now I can't find it even after using the search feature.

I'm replacing my stock fender with a Fat Boy front fender, and would like to be able to do it without removing the wheel. Any information appreciated.

 

Take the four bolts out and slip her out ..... no problem. You may have to squeeze it a little but it's no problem at all.

Takes 5 minutes to remove calipers/wheel. The SMART way to swap fenders.

 

You will need to take a long screw drive and reach through and bend the tabs up to get the bolts out. It's really not that much easier than taking the wheel off. By the time you bend the tabs up and then reach through and try bending them down you may wish you pulled the wheel.

I removed my wrecked fender with the wheel on and installed the new fender also...
comes off really easy, the tabs are the only real obstacle, but not that bad.
