I think the old module will fit the new bikes but the trick is to find them

The older,06, HD units wont work with the '07s' without adding a wire that's not in the 07 harness. The Kuryakin unit is superior and is the way to go.

I have the Harley unit on my 05 Road King. The signal lights work as running lights unless you use them as signals and they flash ON AND OFF like a normal turning signal. When braking, they burn a lot brighter than they do as running lights so you definitely see the effect. Most people say my lights are way more visible than stock. The new LED tail light is brighter and Harley has a version out now. Have a friend with the Kuryakyn and he's had trouble with it as some of the lights have gone out. Could have been how it was installed, though.

The Panancea led's from Kuryakyn are far better and more visable add the the led tail light and can be set up to flash 3 short times when the brake is applied.

I would think you could modify the newer HD harness jumper, so that the turn signals would work only as brake lights and turn signals.....and not running lights. If you do a bit of testing with either a DVOM or even just a plain jane 12V test light I think you could find the wire that is for the running lights, and just remove (NOT CUT) it from the harness connector's.
Fact is though, I like the turn signals to work as running lights and aux brake lights. After reading this thread I went into my garage and checked out the effectiveness of the lighting with the HD kit added, and it is perfect. Turn signals are plenty bright even while the brakes are applied, and are about exactly the same brightness as the stock brake light/running light when the brakes are not applied.

All in all I like the rear lighting with the kit added......I may go with a LED tail light in the future.....but thats then and this is now.

Another alternative is to buy the flasher module from Comagination and hook it up to your centre light so that it flashes when the brakes are applied. The signal lights will go brighter due to the Harley module and even if the brightness change isn't noticable enough, the flashing centre light will be noticable.

ORIGINAL: StreetGlide53

I wonder if the old style module will work in my 07 SG?
NO !

Ialready tried it on my Wife's 07 SG and it blew the old unit and she had no brake lights.
I think Biketronics has a unit you want.
