RE: Supertrapp Supermeg 2-1
The first Two I had broke. The first one was back in 04 and it was the old style pipe and they had a lot of trouble with the baggers. Mine broke off about 4" out of the rear head pipe. The second broke at the collecter ( It was the rear head again). They did warranty both pipes and I think they have done a better job of welding. MPO they need to come up with a better mounting system than the hose clamp around tranny bracket.

I installed a SuperTrap 2-1 on my FLHS 10+ years ago. I believe it was the year they came out with them for touring bikes, whenever that was. I couldn't mount the first set, something about the angle where the headers connected to the megaphone was wrong. It was replaced and I mounted the replacement fine. Two or three years ago or so, a large crack developed where the headers mergered. I called SuperTrap and they had one header in their warehouse; I guess that model was discontinued. I installed that and its been fine since.

There was some talk on here a while ago about the tranny bracket, or should I say hose clamp, breaking. But I've never heard about the actual pipe cracking.
I ran one for about 8 months with no problems at all, and I did about 10000 miles in that time.

I did replace the hose clamp off the tranny bracket after discovering the bolt on the muffler bracket took a hike (cool design, going into the tank like it's neighbor bolt so you get an oil leak when you lose a bolt). Total repairs were about $ 1.99 and five minutes.
