Anybody ever install this oil cooler fan?
I found this on the bay. Its a dual fan that fits in front of there oil cooler. Heres what they say about it.
Harley Oil Coolers work great, but only work while the bike is moving. Oil coolers need a fresh supply of air moving across the cooling fins to dissipate heat. That is where LeNale Engineering Oil Cooler Fan Kits provides a simple solution. The Oil Cooler Fan develops over 80 CFM of airflow at a velocity of 35 MPH. Just manually turn the fan on when you need it. Since it draws less than one amp of current, you can leave it on continuously during parades and rally cruising without draining the battery. The fans that are custom designed by LeNale Engineering are the key to making the system work. The fan motors are the same motors used to cool military equipment in desert operations. The brushless hi-speed motors operate at four times the efficiency of conventional sized motors. Thus we are able to reduce the size of the fans to fit within the oil cooler cover housing while maintaining the velocity and airflow needed for cooling.
I wondered how it works? Thanks, Rick

Waterproof computer fans are hard to find, but those that are available (80mm) cost around $35 each. You should be able to rig this setup sans the cover for <$75.

RE: Anybody ever install this oil cooler fan?
This is not the same thing but does cool comes from Lenale. v-twin cooling fan kit
Kit number HD-2008-1
I installed one today it took 20 minutes to do. It seems like a quialty unit except for the horn that comes with it.
I ordered it from
http://www.hdtalking.com/ext.php?ref...oducts_id=1452
shipping was free and was at the house in 31/2 days.
I have had no problems with heat on my 07 RG but i do ride a lot of VFW events so I wanted to cool it some while sitting. The HD one was bigger than I wanted.
This should work picture of it installed.
