Default Disarming the Alarm/Security System

I have a 2006 Road King that has been sitting for approximately three weeks with the security systemset to on. I went to used my key fob to deactivate the alarm likeI normally do, and nothing happened. The siren started screeching and the key fob will not work. I have tried every thing including placing the battery in the fob, butI cannot get the alarm to deactivate. I believe that the bike is in the storage mode, because when Iturn the ignition to on there is no power to the bike at all, just the alarm going off waking up my neighbors, until it finally resets itself. Has anyone been in a similiar situation or know how to remedy this? Thanks in advance.

Mike

I know if my battery is almost dead on my car, the burglar alarm will not function right, always trying to go off when I unlock the doors. Maybe the battery needs a good charge.

The keyfob will get out of sync with the tssm if the fob has been pushed too many times while away from the bike,

You need to just get close to the bike, hold the button on the fob in the on position for awhile (like 30 seconds)until the lights flick twice(arming) then use normally.

I tried pressing and holding the key fob in close proximity to the bike, and still no response. The motorcycle battery is charged up, but still no power to the bike when I turn the ignition to on (which triggers the siren). The security system has taken over my bike, and has disabled everything. Thanks for the advice, but tomorrow I'll call the dealer to see what they say.

I'd try disarming it by the turn signal code. I've had the security system on one of my bikes for several years. If I set it at my buddies watering hole which is close to T.V transmission towers it doesn't respond to the fob. It works fine elswhere, just that one spot. Must be the T.V. signal jamming the fob's signal. It's important to set and remember the code to disarm the system.

The dealerpickedup the bike and diagnosed it as my battery, which they replaced under warranty.I couldn't believe that it was the battery because itwas only a couple of years old, and in the past it always started after a few weeks of sitting. The battery apparently was faulty and would not hold a charge. Thanks, andsorry I didn't respond sooner with the results of my problem.
