buzz sound from front brakes
Hey guys I got the 07 calipers with brake pads on my 96 RK with the adapters, they were a bitch to bleed, but when I apply the brakes it stops great but gives me a buzz sound at the caliper or rotor. It's louder if I braking from a higher speed and then diminishes as I slow down. Is the pad just wearing in or what. Any idea's. I'll post pic's tomorrow for the older bike's looking to up grade.
Thanks

I didn't know I could, I do know about the Lyndalls and I am concidering them, do you think the sound is coming from the pads? the pads were the stock HD ones that came with the calipers, they came off of an 07 SG with very little milage on them. Thanks for any help.

Fast Harley says it might be the pads, get some pop corn and stay tuned. Let's see if someone will figure this out for us.

I do not know without the bike being in front of me what is wrong. If everything is mounted correctly than maybe the pads are the problem. Take your calipers apart and follow the Clean/Install Brake Pads & Calipers proceedure here skipping the part abouting putting on new pads. Do every thing the same. I know you already know how to instal your pads, but see if there is something you missed....H

I heard the same thing on my 02 Low Rider and I hear it on my 05 Ultra. I think its just the pads passing the holes in the rotor like someone above said.
I also hear it on other bikes I ride with. Hopefully I'll have new mufflers installed soon and won't hear it any more.
