Default removing the detachable sissy bar

dealer put it on....i dont have the paper instructions. how do i get this "detachable" sissy bar off of my bike? thanks!

they dont just flip with finger pressure for me....i guess the bags must come off and the one allen bolt must be loosened to enable the flip.

Look at the black tabs on the back facing side where it mounts to the bike. Put your finger underneath and slide your finger forward, You will feel a gap. The next surface forward can be compressed upward. Do this on both sides of the rear of the sissy bar frame. Now push the top of the black taps forward and the sissybar will rise up a bit as it disengages from the quick disconnect studs. Lift up the back of the sissybar then pull it bacward toward you so the front two mounting points clear their mounting studs. Don't trip while moving backwards. 8-)

nice...off it came. is this the same detachable hardware that also works with the tour pack?

I have the detachable sissy bar and didn't have any trouble taking it off. Then I added the locking mechanism and it seems like, once I unlock it, it is always a hassle to remove.

Same here. I tried to adjust it a little bit but it didn't ake a difference.

No the 2 up detachable mounts are in a different location, heres a photo that'll show you better than i can explane it
