Default Don't have primary drive locking tool, any else work

Going to check compensator nut this weekend and don't have the locking tool, I've seen and read about ways around this but I can't find it in the forum. anybody used an alternative method that worked OK? Thanks, Tim

I've used to 2, 1/2 inch bolts with the heads positioned into the teeth of the gear. I just reversed them when I tightened the nut.

You can make your own out of a piece of flat bar. I can dig up the dimensions if you need them.

Thank's guys, I've wondered if something like the handle of a screwdriver like a Mac or Snap-on would hold up. I'll give that a try first. Tim

When I installed a chrome inner primary on my 06 Dyna I just used an air impact wrench to remove it and I adjusted the torque setting to match what was the recommended torque when I reinstalled it.

Ball up a shop rag, if your primary chain is tight enough it works great and wont hurt anything.
