16" front spoke to WG 21" dual disc
I have the stock setup spoked 16" 40 spoke rim & tire on my SG.
I've seen all types of 21" mag wheels w/ & w/out dual disc.
I really like the look but don't like mags!
Am I going to need to lace a 40 spoke 21" rim to my hub myself, provided I can find a
rim & spokes that'll work or should I look for a dual disc wide glide wheel?

You would be better off buying a 21x3.5" rim and lacing it to your stock hub. Give the guys at Wheel-Works a call if you want someone to lace it for you. That way you can keep the stock wheel spacers and use the stock brakes. The problem with using a wide glide wheel is that it is only a 21x2.15" rim. It's too narrow to run the big 21" tire (120/70/21). Handling would suffer big time on the skinny 21" tires.

For around $500.
I talked with a guy who had a dual disc mag that originally went with an 18 inch rear and 21 x 2.5 and had handleing trouble.
So he went with stock 16 rear and 21x3.5" front.. solved it.

You can buy a complete wheel for less than $500. That way you would still have your stock 16" if the need arises. I got mine from Bart (Shooter64) on this forum. Send him a PM and he will quote you a price.
