Give up on the DunFlops.....Experience with the Metz 880's, and they are great. Would like to try the new commanders though

I have a 150/80/16 Commander on the rear, just installed and I'm
happy so far but too few miles to give a lot of feedback.
My buddy installed new ones, Macadam 17" in rear
and a Commander in the front. He is pleased with the performance so far also
but only has lowmileage on them yet.

I'm going to go with stock Dunlops when I do a replacement. Rides good and I get great mileage from them. Stick with what works.

I've run Dunlops, Conti Milestones and Metzler ME880's on both my 99 King and my 07 RG and the Metzlers are by far the best.

Have been using D402's for years, but the mileage has decreased over time probably due to the use of softer rubber compounds, now down to 10k on this SG so far. This is not acceptable, so in search of a better alternative I've recently mounted an Elite 3 (MU90) on my spare wheel, which will be mounted in about 5k when this second D402 wear out. It's wearing about like the first, unfortunately. Other than wear, I have no complaints about D402's, and I rode them for >100k miles through 33 states on my old RK with no issues. The Elite 3 was designed originally for Gold Wings for better durability, and I've heard mostly glowing reports about them from both HD and GW owners. One GW owner told me they were great as long as you didn't ride in grass, mud, snow, or gravel. Since I just love riding in those conditions, I'll just have to take that under consideration.

Bike model, tire size and intended use dictates what tire I run. There are very few companies making a 120x21". Than try and match the rear to it. For me two of my three bikes have Metzelers on it. They last longer and feel like they grip better.
