Reflector removal from bag latches

Default Reflector removal from bag latches

How can I get the reflector out of the bag latches without scratching the inside of the latch..my latches are the painted ones to....any ideas? only thing I could think of.. is pry it out with a screw driver

Heat is the key. If you use anything metal to pry, wrap it with masking tape or a rag. Things slip and things get hurt. A scratch in chrome can not easilybe fixed. A cut in your palm will hurt bad.

Also, there was a forum member on here the other day looking for a pair of removed bag latch reflectors (intact, unbroken) to use fora template. Maybe you can post up when you finish to see if he still needs them?

I took all the reflectors off my RKC with the heat and a plastic Bondo knife I got at an auto parts store, then I used goof off to remove the adhesive residue. Worked well and no scratches.
