I borrowed a set of bags from a friend late one year as his bike was down for that year and when I gave him his bags back I went out a bought a pair from HD. Must have been in '79 or so. Have run bags ever since. I literally lived on a bike for so many years and bags were my home storage unit. Now that I am older and not so desired by loose women, the bags still come in handy for carrying grocery's, parts, tools & such. Would not be without them for the convenience of being prepared for changing weather, clothes, & riding gear. Just makes sense if one rides further than the corner saloon.

57 now, wife is 54. 09FLHTP for me, 02 FLHPI for her.
Bought my first "Bagger" a 76 Bi-Cent version in 81, was planning on a strip/bob job as soon as payments went away. Came to love the fairing, pogo seat and hard bags. Seen all my buds digging though their leather bags and everything was as soaked as we were, my stuff was dry!
