I finally had enough today of listen to the rear brake squeal on my 08 Ultra while riding. No one seems to know what to do to stop it. So I figured I do the same thing I do to cars when disc brakes squeal. I put some of the anti-squeal material that goes on liquid and dries up like rubber cement. Guess what? No more brake squeal!

I am curious also,,, Mine squeaked like a Virgin on Prom Night. It is finally subsiding after 6.500 miles.

 

A better albeit more expensive fix is to swap out the stock pads for a set of Lyndalls. No squeal, way less brake dust, better performance.

all the noise is caused by vibration, the bremo brake system is superior to the old system.... if you don't like the noise, turn the stereo up or spray the adhesive and it will be quiet for about 3000 miles....

How expensive are the Lyndall pads for the 08's? When I pulled the pads out to put the anti squeal on them I noticed they were stamped with the Brembo name. Performance wise they're awesome. My Ultra will easily outbrake my Softail even though it weighs over 200 lbs more than the Softail.
