The handlebar control will change the song as long as your IPOD is connected to a head unit that has this capability. The head unit should also have a steering wheel remote feature.

Along with this you will need an adaptor that will allow you to keep your Harley Davidson handlebar controls.

I am using an Alpine head unit that is a IPOD controller with a biketronics module that allows me to keep the hand controls.

 

I have a Sony headunit from Biketronics and hand controls run it all , Including AVC.

 

As long as you have an ipod compatable head unit it will work. Most head units require an additional purchase of an ipod module that plugs into the cd changer port on the back of the unit. At least that is how my head unit in my truck works and it controls my ipod from the stereo's buttons.
