I know the techs at the shop have had problems getting them to work on a couple of installs and had to jerry-rig things on install. Personally I don't like them, but to each their own

I like mine a lot. I installed them myself with no problem. The blinker relays were backwards when I installed them. If you install them and the left blinker turns on when you hit the right all you have to do is switch the relays. You also have to drill a hole into the outer fairing for the wire. Some people had problems with water getting in in dowmpours. I've never had that problem.

Hi cybdet

I have it also. I thinkt it looks so good, especially togheter with the lighted mirrors. Wasn't that hard to mount. I have also read about problems with water getting into it, but since I mounted it this winter I have no experience of that. The lights are not so intense, you can hardly se them during sunshine. But in the afternoon/eveneing it looks awesome.

Got one.......dealership techs were of no help at all......all they said was they had a lot of problems with the lights not working. Once I figured out to eliminate two of the wires (2003 ultra) hookup was easy. Lights worked but not consistenly....I took apart the little in line fuses and discovered the contacts were green with ick! Cleaned them off with a pencil eraser and all light functions worked great.

Looks like others had the same experience I did.

I put one on my Pop's UC a few weeks ago. When I first took it out of the box I personally thought it looked too big. but after a week of looking at it on the bike - it kinda grows on you & does not look out of place.

- As others have stated, the wiring is about asjacked-up as H-D could manage to make it. I looked at the provided wiring harness for about 20-minutes wondering what kinda idiot designed it.. Then proceeded to open a beer, take theharness apart & build it 'my way'. I also eliminated 2wires (on an 04), as was mentioned above.

Whole job took about an hour or so, and now that I read about the water problems...I may go yank it & ad some silicane to hole I drilled to prevent future problems.

Thanks Rome...

I'm pretty happy with how the bike turned-out. Was really surprised when I got the e-mail from the magazine. It was a pretty cool experience all around though.

Now I just need to get a Corvette in the same color...and a Ultra Classic in the same color...and a Cadillac in the same color...and an H-2 in the... You get my drift.
