Default radio for fairing

I bought a used dragonfly fairing, and was lucky enough to get one that was already painted to match my bike. It has no radio however. Its the older fairing with the round speaker holes vs. the ovals. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be a good radio and speaker set up. I really don't want to spent too much, Thanks

Also, about a couple of weeks before, I had given up on the fairing idea and bought a handle bar set up from uniq cycle. Google them for more info. Anyway, I love the fairing and am going to sell the other set up. It inlcudes the amp, speakers(deep spotlights), all install hardware and instructions. It was actually just put on my bike for about 10 days now. Ive been to 75mph with it and both my wife and I can hear the tunes. It hooks directly up to a mp3 player.

any info would be great.

If you want to talk about the system, call me at 507-227-6791

Default RE: radio for fairing

I have a Sony GT 510; the newer version is GT 520--list is about 139.00 and it's the unit that Biketronics sells in their basic package for EG Standards and older fairing bikes.

I purchased Sony Xplod 4-way, 5.25" speakers at Wal-Mart for 40 bucks and have been pleased with this set-up for almost 3 years.

Can hear music clearly at 80+ mph over the sound of the Rinheart TD's. But sound is a very personal thing, and I'm no audiophile--but for under 200 bucks it works for me.
