Default Auxliary Passing Lamp Adjustment

Does anyone have the instructions from the service manual about how to adjust the new auxilary passing lamps for a 2008 Street Glide? I have the instructions for these but it refers to the service manual for adjustment which I have on order. I need to know how to adjust them up and down and side to side to keep from getting flashed by cagers. Does if take a special wrench?

Thanks for your input.

Getting Flashed isn't a bad thing is it???? I too get flashed often....was going to do some adjusting, but figured...heck, at least they see me!!...as little night riding as I do, I'm gonna remain highly visible.
Take it to the dealer....let them F@#k with it.... Ride Safe!!

i adjusted mine, whata pita. took an old 9/16 deep socket cut 3/8 slot down the side with die grinder i guess a dremil will work. after getting the light loose lined everything up with thelow beam on garage door tightening the nut without movingchanging the adjustment was the tricky part. results were very good H3 55W blue bulbs are very bright but the adjustment keep flashing to a minumum. good luck

What jake said. I cut a slot in a spare socket as well. Makes things a lot easier.

In case you are referring to the actual adjustment of the lamps, I got this information from another post on this forum.

The bigest PITA I have with them is the pain staking time it takes to get the turn signals unbolted. Talk about a slow process to get the alan bolts out just to get to the damn nut to lossen the lights.

I'm waiting on my bracket's, etc to get here. I've been told that the stock turn signals can be used. Is that true without any modifications? Sorry for the thread hijack.

I just did the installation last week of the passing lamps onto my Street Glide and did the same modification to the socket for adjustment purposes... I'm glad Harley made it so user friendly!
