Default Chrome Peeling on Exhaust

Yesterday, I was washing my bike and noticed the chrome was starting to peel off the end caps right where they meet the mufflers. Has anyone else had this happen? Also I use nevr dull to polish the chrome. (or I guess I should say used to use nevr dull)

replace my end caps this spring for that same reason. One of the caps peeled almost completly.

Its the cast ones that peel, now they use billet, and the problem ends. BUT, be careful, the new ones are larger diameter than the older ones..

Now I find one of my Screamin Eagle Mufflers is beginning to peel near the mounting bolts...
