Default 2008 touring bikes

Ok guys i have a question and i did a search but come up with nothing related to my problem.
Do any of you 08 owners get a rattle or slight slapping noise when releasing the clutch very slowly from stop ?and i mean slowly like your turning your bike around or something, And if i give it some throddle before releasing clutch its not there. I thought some clutch bolts were loose but Dealer removed cover and check everything and found nothing. He has contacted HD and we are waiting on reply from them. This rattle or noise is not when the bike is moving or shifting gears, just when i release clutch slow without any throddle at all, just idol on the motor .I know this is lugging the motor but this isnt coming from the motor.
Thanks guys

Sounds like some lugging almost stalling problem. The gearing of these bikes is so high, you have gotta throttle em up when releasing the clutch to pull away from a stop.
Why

YES, I have had the same condition, often. When i pull into the garage and feather the clutch to manuever a back up and turn around it sounds like a bunch of marbles in a tin can, its really an ugly sound. This occurs when everything is hot. It sounds like its coming from the primary. I have no clue what it is.

Thanks guys for the replys, Sounds like im not the only one here with this. The machanic called me back tonight and said ....from the HD MOCO that it is Normal. Go figure. He said he sent the HD moco my vin # and my problem and told them he heard the noise and said if any further problems would be taken care of. Yea after the warranty runs out they will replace what brakes....Well lets freaking hope so. I love this bike but that noise bugs the crap out of me. Guess i will have to burn out whan i take off .

Ditch the compensator and get an EVO 30 tooth like I did and not only will you not have that noise, but you will feel like you want to burn out coming off the line[8D]

I'm kinda glad to here someone else has heard this same thing. I thought maybe I had turned into a novice clutch operator for some odd reason. My Sporty never made a sound like this at all.

As embarassed as I am to say it I was out today for my second ride(only) and I actually stalled my 08 Street Glide on a bit of a hill, waiting in traffic at a red light. I never had to feather the throttle on my 98 Fat Boy, just release the clutch and she would grab on her own. My new street glide seems to want some throttle and yes I hear strange noises also. Almost like a pinging, still am not sure, bike has only 60 miles on her.

Only rattling or slapping noise I've noticed was when the three screws securing the windshield were loose. Sounded weird and took a few minutes to realize what it was.
