Default Front Brake Fluid Filling Question

I went from Wide Glide Bars to Wild 1 517's on my 07 Road Glide. Now I am at the point of instaling the new brake line then filling up the front brake reservoir with fluid prior to bleeding.

These new bars put the reservoir at an angle when mounted on the bar.

Question:

1. Should I remove the reservoir, fill it up (holding it level) then put the top on and mount it back on the bars?

OR

2. Fill it up as much as I can with the reservoir mounted on the bike at an angle, put the top back on and let it be?

Default RE: Front Brake Fluid Filling Question

You might as well fill it with it on the bars.
1. You are going to have to fill it many more times when you bleed you brakes.
2. You will be taking the top off now and then in the future, you don't want to have to remove the master cyl. each time.
3. Will work fine on an angle as long as the fluid covers the outlet adequately.

On my RKC with the stock bars the reservoir is at an angle. Turning the bars all the way to the left reduces the angle. Try it.
