Does anyone know if there is a max speed that the cruise control be set?
I ride an 08 ultra classic and at 88 mph it will disengage. Was wondering if that is preprogrammed.
Any help will be appreciated.

 

Yup...Max cruise speed is 85. Should be in the Owners manual...

 

Yep, its 85mph, right in the manual.

 

Electronically limited to 85 MPH, it's in both the owners manual and the maintenance manual.

85mph on cruise control is perfect highway speed in 6th gear

 

I have the '06 EGClassic. Installed the HD Cruise Control, so I believe this could still be considered and OEM set up. Of course, mine is not TBW.

I can set my cruise at 85 and bump it all the way up, 1mph at a time,to 96 mph. (No lectures please).

 

85 on flat land til ya hit a hill then it slows to 83ish then ya hit resume/accel til back up to 85/max and when ya level off you'll be cruising bout 87 or 88.

 

...but the wife thumps me in the back of the head when I do that!!

 

I'm amazed at how many people do NOT read their owner's manual!!
