It seems inevitable that theMOCO is going to have to go to liquid-cooled engines sometime in the future.

Do you think that you would buy one of the introduction-year models?

Would wait for the next year's models. I NEVER buy the 1st year run of a new platform.

 

The pole feature has been down for over a week. They are working on it.

Wahl, it wouldn't really be the first year....ask any V-Rod owner.

 

I've got a first year Evo and it's been awesome......but I see your point....H-D is no longer our father's Motor Company.
Corporate greed is taking it's toll.They'll probably leak like the Exxon Valdez.

I never buy first-run models of anything. It's not good money sense. In addition to the V-Rod, I remind you of the iPhone debacle. Wait it out. Let other spring chickens find out all the bugs. More importantly, wait for the market to adjust the price of the bikes. I'd wait till the 3rd year of production, at least.

 

I would wait ten years to buy a water cooler harley (about the same time frame I buy most other bikes)....
My Ford truck is 11 years old (so I am right on target there too).

 

i have an 08 SG so i took the plunge on this first year bike....it hasnt had any problems for me yet....as for water cooled man there are many advantages to water cooled.....but i do not want a radiator on the front of my bike....if i wnted that look i would have saved 10 thounds bucks and bought a honda. So unless harley can hide it will i dont want one.
