Hey guys, I hope some of you have an opinion on this.

I had an 02 Ultra and traded it in on an 08 Delux this last January. The Delux is a nice looking bike, Black and White Pearl, and a ton of add ons. Now I am just not satisifid with it. Today I looked at a new 08 Street Glide, (I guess I miss my Ultra).The reason I sold my Ultra in the first place is because I am a 100% disailbed Vet, and have severe joint pain in my legs and hips. It was becoming very painful to get on and off theUltra and hold it up. Itwas even harder if she was on the back. So I sold it for a smaller bike, the Delux. It just does not handle like my Ultra. I am thinking sereiously of traiding it back to the dealership for a new StreetGlide (it has a radio, COOL).

Any comments on the differencebetween thetwo bikes, as far as handling goes?I don't have any problems getting on any of the bikes without atourpack. Am I crazyfor even thinking of trading? Hey, I am 60yrs old and ready to ride.

I ride Harley's of different types all day, the SG is considerbaly lighter and more nimble compared to the Ultra. I would go to your local dealer and tell them you want to take a SG for a test ride and see if you like it.

 

Streetglide is the ONLY CHOICE NOTHING ELSE COMPARES!!!!!

 

I feel I will be in your shoes in a short while,,,,, pain sux,, but I tolerate it,, if not,,
I'm going to get a TRIKE....

I may end up going that route myself someday. I am 56 years old & have arthritus.

When that gets really bad, I will probably check into a trike myself.

you'll take a bath on the trade-in. Try selling outright then head off to the dealer.

I have thought about that for quite sometime. This purchase will probably be my last 2 wheeler. I hear that HD is joining Leman and is coming out with a trike conversion in 09.

Why wait? keep that Deluxe and turn it into a trike for when you feel like it.
