Default Looking for luggage

I am starting to look around for luggage for my bike. I have to go up to Tacoma from Portland periodically and I like to take the bike since I get better mileage. I have the inserts for my trunk and saddle bags but I would like to have something I can attach that I can put all my cloths into and be able to take off and carry in easily. I would also like it to be something that doesn't need to sit in the passenger seat so that if my wife is with me and I need it then it can be used. Any good ideas out there?

I'd check out the trunk mounted bags from T-Bags. I have their Route 66 bag but that fits on my luggage rack which you don't have. They make great quality bags.

Sounds like you carry too much stuff. However, you can get a luggage rack that mounts to the top of the tour pack and a bag from HD, or elsewhere, that attaches to that. You might also consider a trailer.

I have used the GranTraveler bag from Kuryakn on my luggage rack. Works great and has handle and wheels. Can take more crap than you will ever need. Ask me how I know...

I've got a Dekker Supreme T-Bag when I use the tour pak. and a Kuryakyn 4140 without the tour pak. The Kuryakyn 4140 on Craigslist is only $100. That's a great price.

+1 on the T-bags. The bag straps to a removable bra that goes on tour-pac. I like the the no rack look for every day rideing. Link http://www.tbags.com/detail.aspx?ID=107&SelectedCat=2

PS I don't actually own this type of set up yet but I have been to their show room a few times and inspected the tour-pac with this design on it. Will be my next purchase from them

Nelso Rigg makes nice stuff too at a fair price. Do a Google or Ebay search. I have one of their bags that attaches to my tourpak rack and it works great. I usually try to keep it fairly light so the bike isn't too top heavy. My advice to you is to learn to pack light which will make your bike handle much better.

i bought this one that goes on my tour pak rack. yes i know its expensive, but frankly for me it held the lines very well and i like that it is harley. it is very functional and also reminds me not to put alot in it. i did that last year and had some weight issues on a long trip.
