Any Info on what to look for or questions to ask on an aftermarket/extended warranty? Looking at an 2011 Ultra Classic.

 

YOU read the contract very carefully.

In MOST cases the contract is not with Harley-Davidson- but some 3rd party.

And that contract will vary by State, servicing company and even by Seller.

there may be exclusions, or restrictions on modifications ( and it is possible the previous owner has already modded the bike in such a way that the warranty will not cover).

if there is a problem 1000 miles away, what happens.

if the servicing company closes up, what happens.

if there is a problem, who fixes it, with what parts?
when do they fix it- now or after a claim is submitted.

this are has so many pitfalls- you'd do better to save your cash




if you are not sure the bike is ready for 50,000 miles- don;t buy it.

the guy who is suggesting this "piece of mind" will get 15 or 20% of your payment for just a few suggestions and vulcan mind control tricks
