Default Clutch Cover oil leak

2003 Road King classic which I replace the clutch cable last week.&nbsp\\; Replace the gasket and O ring on the cover.&nbsp\\; I did have to open the cover back up within minutes because something wasn't aligned properly and the cable was stuck.&nbsp\\; Still not sure what happened.&nbsp\\; Currently the clutch works fine but I have a small oil leak. It doesn't seem to leak when parked only when ridden.&nbsp\\; I notice some fluid on bottom.&nbsp\\; Any suggestions would be helpful&nbsp\\;... do need to take it apart and put another gasket, is it overfilled. When on the stand it reads slightly above full.

How much did you put in?&nbsp\\; Should have put between 20-24oz (most put about 22oz).&nbsp\\; Could be overfilled, or could be something is still not aligned or pinched/damaged o-ring or gasket.

I put 1 bottle of the red line lube.&nbsp\\; I checked it again tonight and saw it was basically at the full line when screwed i&nbsp\\; tight.&nbsp\\; How tight should the the cable be into the cover. I have it tightened down pretty good.

&nbsp\\;
One 32oz bottle?&nbsp\\; If so, you're overfilled.

Disregard.....read it wrong...thought he meant the "primary" clutch cover....not the clutch cable cover.....

So if it's overfilled does the gasket and O ring need to be replaced?&nbsp\\; I do believe after looking further into it I was checking the level with the bike on the jiffy stand.&nbsp\\; Once I stood the bike up on level surface and checked it with the dipstick at the top of the treads its about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch above the full mark. My error.

I would pull the drain plug on the bottom of the trans, stand the bike up straight,&nbsp\\;drain&nbsp\\;into a clean container and start over. As Dawg said, all you need is 22oz in the tranny on an 2003.
