RE: 2008 Street Glide Fuel Pump Issues
Oh by the way not to be impolite or misunderstood but hdjoe88 I did read the manual, guess I missed the part about how to activate the flashers. My mistake, but I do appreciate the help from
elim9. The first thing I do when I buy anything is read the freakin owners manual. Must be getting old and in need of glasses.

RE: 2008 Street Glide Fuel Pump Issues
My 08 Road Glide w/3800 miles has been sitting @ the dealer for a week \\;waiting for the fuel pump housing. \\; Today they said that \\; I am 1 of 4 waiting for the same part and that July 3rd is the date for release for the part. \\; Can anyone else verify this information? \\; Thanks

I just replaced this part on my sled. On the factory part the holes for the retaining pin are rectangular, both inside and out. On the revised part the holes are the same but the plastic surrounding the holes slants down on each side to join the body of the cup, a little like the hill on both sides of an interstate overpass. I did not notice any part number embossed on the new part or the old one. I doubt that the old part is anyone's inventory any more. If the retainer holes are surrounded by this "webbing", you have the right part. There was a recall during the production run, some bikes were effected, some were not. Mine was not and 8 years later the part failed, most likely your bike was not on the list either but should have been. Mine had the ride of disgrace, 40 mile trip home on a trailer.
