Default 16" Burley's on my 07 Road King

Riders and tech savy folks,
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Ok, I have a bit of a dilema.&nbsp\\; I bought some 16" 1 &amp\\;1/4" burley bars (APEs), plus all of the cables for which I thought would work (I'm a newb, so I took the advice of J&amp\\;P cycles tech department and my local HD mech).&nbsp\\; I need some one who has applied this same set up to their Road King and tell me what length cables and wires they used.
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; The following is what I've purchased:
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; 16", 1 1/4" burley APEs
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Throttle cable: +6" over stock length
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Idle Cable: +6" over stock length
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;Brake Kit: +6 over stock length
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Clutch cable: +6 over stock length
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Elec. Wires being supplied by mech.
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Does any riders / mechanics know if this will work for me?&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Thanks for helping a newb!
&nbsp\\;

Yes, it will work and is the correct lengths for what your doing.
I put 16" apes on my 02 RoadKing a few months ago and used all the same lengths of cables you mention with no problems except for the brake line kit. It will work but the section form the master cylinder to the "T" was a real tight fit no matter how I tried. like I said, it would have worked but I felt more comfortable with a few more inches of line so that it had some play.&nbsp\\;I had one custom made which was +8. Other than that, I think you have all the correct lengths. The only other thing I can't speak to is the electric wires since my bars came internally wired with chrome controls attached. I would recommend that setup over the external wires but it sounds like you already bought everything.

Thanks for the input...
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\; According to the Mech...he's saying +10 over stock length.&nbsp\\; Well, we'll just see if that's too much...or just right.&nbsp\\; This is all after I've purchased the above and then they (mech) did a dry fit.&nbsp\\; Keep your fingers cross for me!!!

When I had 16's on mine, my Indy put +6's on... I thought they were to tight and went to +10's.&nbsp\\; I didn't like how when the bars where turned all they way left the throttle cable basic stuck WFO... Having said that my buddy runs +6 and has never said a word about it...

Fish,
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Do you still have +10 on yours?&nbsp\\; Did I understand you to say the +6's were too tight?&nbsp\\; Could you please explain more about your +10 experience.
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Thanks,

I guess I'm confused as to how you might need +10's when I used +6 fine. I guess if you want the extra room, use +8's but 10's would have been way too long for my bike. good luck.
