Default D&D Fat Cat problems...update

I can't keep the muffler from sliding back and forth. I have now broken the screw from cranking down so hard. The "barrel nut" or whatcha callit threaded piece that the screw threads into is gone and the mounting studs snapped when I tried to remove them. Am I buying another muffler?

What I did to keep mine from slipping was to drill a 1/4" hole in the mounting plate that slides through the hanger under the saddlebag.Take the plate off and drill it&nbsp\\;about 5/16" of an inch from the front edge of the hanger and put a bolt through it with a self-locking nut. Keeps it from going any where.
&nbsp\\;
As far as the clamp, you may be able to drill it out as well and use a long bolt and nut it on the back side.&nbsp\\;

Have you contacted D&D yet? Let them know what the deal is and maybe they'll send you a new clamp.

That's pretty much the same as what&nbsp\\;I did.

I thought I would fill you guys in. I ended buying a new muffler this time I went with the standard baffle this time. I like the sound better. I noticed as I was taking off the collector cover (as the new one did not come with one) that the slits on the new one were twice as long.

I am hoping that this will keep it in place. If not I will take Edbo's idea. I think I will try and make a false/tool carrier out of the old pipe.
