LOW OIL PRESSURE ON STREETGLIDE
I got the bike (06' \\;Streetglide) \\;back from the dealer and according to them, my oil presure is running low. \\; At a stand still no oil pressure but at 70 mph it is reading 30 PSI. \\; I only have a little over 12,000 mi on the bike and it is having problem already. \\; My 02' Roadking ran like a champ, over 38,000 mi without any problem. \\; (I am still pissed about by Roadking.  \\;A cager \\;changed lane and took \\;the Roadking \\;and I out about two years ago). \\; Back to the issue, was there a low oil pressure problem with the earlier 06' Streetglide?

RE: LOW OIL PRESSURE ON STREETGLIDE
I think if you look at the gauge closely you'll see that the oil pressure is actually around 5psi idling and it goes up to 30-35psi on the road. As others have said it's normal (do a search on here and you'll see what others have said).

More than likely you don't have any problem, but if you're reading a true zero pressure at idle you "may" have either a sender or gauge that could be replaced. \\; Sounds like the "dealer" would like to sell you a motor rebuild, or another new bike.

RE: LOW OIL PRESSURE ON STREETGLIDE
Thanks for all replies. So I am okay with the reading. \\; \\;The dealer took me for two bills and told me that this is not normal. \\; They said I should be at 15 PSI at ideal and 40 to 42 at speed. \\; I do have a little top end noise so I am wondering if oil is not getting up there to lubricate the motor and the dealer is basing the low oil pressure. \\; How can I check for this?
