Talked to a guy today who had his bike dyno'ed after installing a carb rejet kit, Rinehart true duals and a K&N air filter. 80HP and 88TQ. These seem pretty high to me. I looked at the "Nightrider" dyno site for comparison and it looks like this guy has one of the strongest, if not the strongest TC88'S around. I know there are differences in dyno's but this sure seems high to me. Opinions?

That's almost exactly what I got on my 95 ci SE Roadglide with Rinehart True Duals and Stage 1 air cleaner. Seems high to me for an 88 w/no head work or high comp. pistons.
The dynos are set up for the dealers to give you the numbers you want to hear. Do you think that after spending all that money the dealer would want you beetching that you didn't get SOME kind of increase in performance for your money. You wouldn't be back if you knew the truth and they know it. Keep spending is what they want to hear.
Dynos are for tuning. Before and after is mandatory.
The numbers are mostly BS on a lot of machines. They are close, but in a harley speedo kind of way. If they aren't calibrated right, they are close in a harley fuel guage kind of way. [8D]
Do we know what the before numbers were. For what was done, I would be suspisious of anything more than a 8-10% increase, and that is on the high side.
