You decide whos pipes sounds best the big Honda or the Harley Touring bike!
You put that on a Harley board and expect objective responses (actually, what is there to "respond" to?" \\; At any rate, it's a totally shallow value assessment of *any* bike.
I looked at your link. \\; It's puerile. \\; For those in Rio Linda, Kalifornia, that means it's juvenile. \\; Get a life, people.
"Pipes sound best" is a Harley deal - pure and simple. Only the "Harley crowd" spends time worrying about "pipe sounds".
People who choose to buy other brands are considering a whole host of other attributes besides "pipe sounds". They consider factors such as appearance, how it handles, how reliable it is, how much maintenance it's going to need, how often it NEEDS maintenance, how many different places that will need oil changes (Honda=1, HD=3), the grade of fuel their bike needs (Honda=regular/HD=premium), whether the windshield is adjustable, or not (UC=0, Wing=1), fresh air ventilation, OEM reverse gear capability, and things like that. \\; Get the picture? \\; Notice that "how the pipes sound" isn't in that list.
As it happens, after some 50 years of owning and riding motorcycles, I currently own both a Goldwing and a Harley Ultra Classic, and I ride each of them based on what mix of operating characteristics I want for that ride. \\; I can tell you, this seasoned rider has never made a buy decision based on "pipe sounds".

Yeah, right - everyone knows the litmus test of which bike is the BEST bike is its "pipe sounds". \\;\\\\\\; Troll post if ever there was one. \\;\\\\\\; You put that on a Harley board and think you can get objective responses? \\;\\\\\\; What a shallow value assessment of *any* bike.
Number one, "pipes sound best" is a Harley deal - pure and simple. \\;\\\\\\;
People who choose to buy other brands don't worry so much about "pipe sounds". \\;\\\\\\; They consider many other factors to be important, such as how the bike looks, how it handles, how reliable it is, how much maintenance costs, how often they have to DO maintenance, how many places they have to change oil (Honda=1, HD=3), the grade of fuel their bike needs (Honda=regular/HD=premium), things like that. \\;\\\\\\; Get the picture?
As it happens, after some 50 years of owning and riding motorcycles, I currently own both a Goldwing and a Harley Ultra Classic, and I ride each of them based on what mix of operating characteristics I want for that ride. \\;\\\\\\; But I can tell you that I don't decide which bike to ride based on its "pipe sounds".
