Once the Harmon Kardon units are no longer in warranty and it is going to cost you money, tell the dealer to get snaked. Go to Iron Cross Audio (online) and get a replacement from them. Hell of a lot cheaper and better too.
My FLHTCU Harman radio display intermittently was coming on in reverse. Now it does it all the time. The display is backwards. All I got was jokes and a web site that might fix it for god knows what. Anyone else have this problem. It works fine but the display is backwards. yea I heard all the jokes but none of the solutions
a lot of times it's as simple as pulling the face off the unit and bending the pins on the connector so they'll mate correctly. This is NOT an easy task though so be warned.
Iron Cross Audio is your answer to out of warranty HK head units.
The back light comes on normal brightness for an instant when the radio is first turned on then goes really dim. Can't see the display at night it's so dim. Any advise?
